A medium-sized vase in a matte black glaze. The raw clay has been painted black, giving the grid pattern almost a 'ghost' like effect. The grid pattern is very subtle but visible. I create the design by applying a super-stretchy vinyl tape to the surface of a bisque-fired pot, spray a layer of glaze on top, then peel the tape off revealing the raw clay underneath.
